2024 FUND-A-NEED SAFETY & SECURITY ENHANCEMENTS
Over the past several months, our school safety committee with a school security consultant, have been assessing our safety & security measures and identifying areas in need of improvement. Our goal is to provide more advanced training in emergency response protocols and integrate enhancements in the following areas:
- Security Camera & Software Upgrade: Invest in advanced camera & software to ensure comprehensive coverage and improved monitoring capabilities.
- Enhanced Front Door Monitoring: Install an exterior monitoring system at the front door to better regulate access and increase security.
- Shatterproof Window Film on Exterior Doors: Add shatterproof film to exterior doors and select windows to fortify our building against potential threats.
- Two-Way Radios in Classrooms: Equip our classrooms with two-way radios to facilitate quick staff communication & improve emergency response capabilities.
- Upgraded Door Latches & Locks: Install uniform door latches & locks to improve ability for quick response in classrooms & common areas.
While these enhancements are necessary to continue to provide a safe & nurturing environment for our students, they come with a high price tag. Current estimates total just over $100,000. Fortunately, thanks to a Fulcrum Foundation Grant & generous supporters like you, we have already secured $36,000 in funding to date! Through our 2024 Fund-A-Need Campaign, we hope to raise the additional funds needed to implement these enhancements.
Every donation, regardless of size, brings us one step closer to creating a safer and more secure environment allowing us to continue delivering on our mission. Raising the funds for these critical projects is an ambitious task but we are filled with hope knowing the generosity of our St. Joseph Cardinal Community.
